While citizens of many countries world-wide usually do not require a visa to enter Australia, citizens of some countries do. See the official Department of Immigration and Citizenship visa information page for complete visa information, including a list of countries and territories whose citizens require a visa in order to enter Australia as visitors.

NOTE: Even if you do not require a visa, you may be required to complete the online Electronic Travel Authority or eVisitor procedure. It is thus critical that you check the information on the page linked above.

If and only if you are an author of an accepted LCN conference or workshop paper and you need a letter of invitation for visa purposes, please send an email to Olivier Mehani, LCN 2013 Local Arrangements Co-Chair, which needs to include all of the following information:

1. Full name (both given and family names)
2. Gender
3. Date of birth
4. Place of birth
5. Nationality
6. Affiliation
7. Full postal address of this affiliation
8. Full postal address of where the letter should be sent (only if different from affiliation address)
9. Fax number (only if letter is to be FAXed)
10. E-mail address
11. EDAS paper number
12. Paper title
13. IEEE LCN registration confirmation (as an attachment)

An optional item is the planned itinerary for the trip. Including this may speed-up the visa approval process.

Please note that you need to complete the author registration for LCN 2013 before you can request a letter of invitation.
