The 48th meeting of the LCN conference will be held in Daytona Shores on the northeast coast of Florida, USA.
Daytona Shores is near the greater Daytona Beach area in central Florida on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean. Daytona Beach is located at the intersection of two interstate routes, I-4 and I-95, and is approximately 42 miles (68 km) northeast of Orlando, 64 miles (103 km) south of Jacksonville, and 231 miles (372 km) north of Miami. The Deltona–Daytona Beach–Ormond Beach metropolitan area has a population of about 600,000 and is part of the Fun Coast region of Florida. (The local telephone area code, 386, spells out the word "fun.")
Daytona Beach is known for its beach and beach driving. It is also a major tourist location due to its moderate year-round weather, local attractions, and special events, such as the Daytona 500 in early February, Bike Week in early March, NASCAR Coke Zero Sugar 400 race in August, and Biketoberfest in late October. The area is also home to one of the most biodiverse estuaries in North America, great fishing and boating opportunities, several nice museums, three local universities, varied nature hikes, and more to do outdoors.
